Today is the LAST day we have to try to change the San Diego City Council Commission's minds, about their plan to split Ranch Penasquitos in two and transfer the southern parts to Council District 6 with Mira Mesa, Clairemont Mesa etc.
Please don't let this happen!
Some of our neighbors have set up tables where you can sign a petition, at three grocery stores in PQ:
* Vons on Black Mtn Rd and Twin Trails
* Albertsons on Camino Del Sur near Westview High School
* Stater Bros on Ranch Penasquitos Blvd and Carmel Mtn Rd near Carls Jr and Hwy 56
The Commission will make their final decision tomorrow (Mon. Aug 22) at their meeting at 2:00 PM, downtown at 202 "C" Street (public is invited, please come!).
So TODAY (Sunday, Aug. 21) is the last day we can sign the petitions!
Can I ask you to please make a trip to one of these stores, and sign the petition? We have to tally them tonight, and turn them in first thing tomorrow.
If you've alread signed one of these petitions, THANK YOU! Please be sure NOT to sign another - only one signature from each person is allowed.
There are no age limits - you simply must be a resident of San Diego to sign a petition. My 13-year-old son signed, along with the rest of my family. Please, ask every member of your family to sign, and your friends too.
This is VERY important.
