Hope after Thursday's meeting

The Redistricting Committee listened to our voice to keep ONE PQ in D5 and had opened their mind to consider to modify the restricting proposal. However, the motion by commissioner Nishioka to put PV back to D5 was blocked last night, 4 to 3.

There were mainly two arguments for those commissioners who opposed such motion. One is that SR did not get enough chance to respond to this change, which seems plausible. The more absurd argument is form Comm. Quiroz who was concerned the interest of APIs who signed the petition with Dr. Chan were not protected by such motion, completely ignoring the overwhelming testimony from so many PV residents, many of them can be categorized as API.

So please keep Monday 2PM available in your schedule to go back to the City Council chambers to continue the fight to keep PV in PD and D5.

Our voice has been heard by Redistricting Committee. Our common interests have been concurred by other D5 communities. Our courage has been admired even by APAC members. We are hoping Redistricting Committee to make right decision on Monday.

We are proud of our community and God bless us!
